We are a center for experiential education, rooted in the Gospels, encouraging the transformation of human consciousness through contemplation, and equipping people to be instruments of peaceful change in the world.
Women's Retreat 2012
"God comes to you disguised as your life" - Paula D'Arcy
CAC sponsored a gathering of women in April of 2012 who listened together,
first to their hearts and voices, and then to the heart of the world.
What arises when we rise beyond race, creed and culture and meet the larger summons of the world's needs and heart? Who are we beyond our individual stories and roles, and who might we become? Our time together included the creation of an intention to live differently in the world.
Paula D'Arcy, a long time friend of the CAC, is President of the Red Bird Foundation. The author of numerous books, Paula is an internationally recognized retreat leader and conference and seminar speaker. A former psychotherapist who ministers to those facing issues of grief and loss based upon her own story, Paula leads workshops and retreats related to spirituality, writing, and women's issues. Her work includes Women's Initiation and Rites of Passage. In recent years she has teamed with Fr. Richard Rohr to present seminars on the Male/Female Journey and A Spirituality of the Two Halves of Life.
