Work Internships
“You must know that even a small amount of yeast is enough to leaven the whole dough, so get rid of the old yeast, and make yourself into a completely new loaf of bread.”
(St. Paul to his community, 1 Corinthians 5:7)
Engage, work, and live at the Center for Action and Contemplation in a mindful way.
The CAC’s Work Internship Program offers an opportunity for individuals to:
- Engage in a spiritual formation program rooted in the integration of action and contemplation,
- Work to support the mission of the CAC, and
- Live in a communal environment with other work interns at Stillpoint.
Work interns supported in using the available resources and setting of the CAC to foster personal and spiritual growth while serving and supporting its mission. Immersing yourself in the daily operations at the Center for Action and Contemplation while committing to intentional spiritual practice and being authentic in relationship with CAC staff, volunteers, other work interns and the many others who you will encounter during your time here, you open yourself to many opportunities for challenge, stimulation, and reflection.
Over the years, many people in life transitions (career, vocation, retirement, various other personal life changes, etc.) have found a work internship at the CAC to be a place of renewal, challenge and guidance for their life journeys.
Beginning in the summer of 2007, the CAC piloted a new phase of the work internship program. Now, in addition to having the opportunity to join the CAC staff & volunteers in the work of the Center, work interns now also engage in a spiritual formation process along with a peer group.
