The CAC
The Center for Action and Contemplation, located at 1705 Five Points Road in the South Valley of Albuquerque, is a simple, yet beautiful home for the CAC, and a 15 minute walk from the Rio Grande River.
The Center includes our staff offices, a working kitchen, the Mustard Seed Resource Center, and Brother Sun, our volunteer work space. Office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
Contemplative Prayer is held twice daily in the STILLPOINT chapel, at 7:40 am and 4:40 pm, and is open to visitors. Wednesday mornings at the CAC are set apart for contemplative time, during which the staff observes silence as much as possible.
STILLPOINT, located at 1823 Five Points Road, is home to the CAC Work Interns. In addition to contemplative prayer times, the following contemplative opportunities are offered at STILLPOINT:
- Meditation Garden
- Labyrinth of the Dancing Christ
- Library
- Our Lady of Guadalupe Grotto
- AIDS Memorial Chapel*
*The building was formerly home to the Damien Brothers Community, whose ministry was with the HIV/AIDS community. After purchasing the property from the Brothers, it was decided that the CAC would keep the beautiful etched glass, memorial window and dedicate the chapel to the AIDS community.
